In the Kazoo Collection we'll learn 21 songs and activities which you can also recreate at home. All of our songs for summer are selected favorites from various 10 week sessions. We'll sing "Tingalayo" a song about a stubborn little donkey, and "Pussycat"who ventures away to visit the queen! We'll tell a story about a little frog who took a swim in our tub and pretend to sail a boat with "Sailing Song". We'll have plenty of drumming time with "Jim Jam Drummer" and "Marching and Drumming"! There will be some familiar songs like "Old King Cole" and we'll sing in harmony with "Apples and Cherries".  We'll do some twirling with"There's a Little Wheel a'turning" and do some galloping with a pretend pony!

In the Bongos Collection you'lllearn 25 beloved songs you can also recreate at home. You'll learn "Open and Shut Them", a fun fingers and hands song to play and sing. You'll love dancing and singing "CityBlues"pretending to be in the city, and singing "Hotaru Koi" when we pretend to be fire flies. Another week you'll play"Tricks with Sticks" and then have some fun acting out "See How I'm Jumping"! You'll also meet the "Eensy Weensy Spider' who climbs the water spout!

Music Education is essential.  Research has shown that music supports all learning. Children use their whole brain and body, making connections that support cognitive, language and physical development.  Music is invaluable. We have all had moments where we have been transported by music. All children should be given the tools to express themselves through music. There is a window of time in a child's development before they reach 8 or 9 years old where children can reach their full musical potential. Music Together® classes provide the opportunity to reach that potential in a fun, playful environment.  Children immersed in music early in life will benefit from this exposure for the rest of their lives.

In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials for you to use at home, online access to the songs through the Music Together app, and a family newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas.

Tuition for the 6 week Summer Session is $165

Tuition for the 10 week Fall Session is $270

There will be no sibling fee. We hope your whole family will participate! Please register siblings so we can add everyone to our rosters.

Making Music Helps

I would like to be able to help more families make music together. When we are all together making music our sense of community will grow. Do you know a family or do you have a connection with your community that can reach out to families that would not be able to attend classes without assistance? Please text me at 508-838-9815 if you can help me to reach out! -Gwyn Valentine, Old Colony Music Together
